Cleaning floors is a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it. Luckily, there are plenty of gadgets on the market that make floor cleaning as fast and efficient as possible. From flat mops to spinners to hands and knees, it's important to know which floor cleaning tools and method to use and when is the best time to use it. Below is a list of various mops and floor cleaning techniques to use as a guideline so you can keep clean floors without having to work too hard for it.
Flat mops come with reusable microfiber cloths that wrap around the base of the mop and are usually secured in place with pockets or velcro. They are perfect for weekly quick mopping. With a flat mop, you can spray the floor directly with your Good Vibes spray, wipe it down and be done. Since you don't use a lot of water, it has a very fast drying time.
Another way to use a flat mop is to dip the microfiber cloth in a bucket of diluted Good Vibes and wring it thoroughly. Drying time will be a little longer using this method, but you will also get a more thorough clean.
As an aside, Amazon has these new flat mop and bucket systems that I have been dying to try with Good Vibes All Purpose Cleaner but I'm trying to figure out if its worth it. If anyone has one, let me know how you like it in the comments.
Steam mops are similar to the flat mops in style, however, steam mops have to be plugged in during use. They require you to pour water into a reservoir in order to generate the steam. Steam mops are heavier than other mops and can be challenging to store but, they work great for killing germs after the floor has been sanitized. [Click here to see the difference between sanitizing and disinfecting].
Spin mops, allow for a heavy duty cleaning of floors. They are pretty much traditional mops that you don't have to wring out with your hands. You just foot pump or apply pressure to a spinner inside the bucket and it wrings out the mop head, similar to the way a washing machine does to clothes. It's pretty neat. I use a spin mop to go over my floors once a month or so. These mops have the longest drying time.
Last, but not least, is good old fashioned hand mopping. Every now and then I feel the need to get down on my hands and knees and give my floors a good scrub by hand. Hand mopping helps us clean places and spaces that mops do not reach well, like corners, behind the toilet and the grout in between floor tiles. Being closer to the floor also allows us to see things that we normally do not see, like dirty floor boards that need cleaning. Nothing beats hand mopping floors.
I try to do this once or twice a year when I'm deep cleaning. I feel so accomplished when I hand mop my floors, lol. I feel like my grandmother is looking down on me with pride. If you try this at home, protect your knees by wearing knee pads or place padded slippers under your knees so you can slide around your floor painlessly.
Good Vibes is perfect for floor cleaning because it works really well and the scent will linger in your home for days after. The only caveat is that you may have to change the mop water a couple of times because it will become very dark and dirty (but that's how you know its working). Good Vibes gets up ALL the dirt, there's really nothing like it. Now is not the time for me to be humble by the way, I mean, if I don't toot my own horn, who's gonna toot it?
Feel free to follow the following guidelines when using Good Vibes to mop your floor:
Good Vibes All Purpose Cleaner works on all floors, vinyl, linoleum, ceramic, stone, wood, bamboo, you name it. Just remember to always dilute it. Good Vibes is highly concentrated and is very sudsy when used full strength. It will take several rinses before it all comes up. It can also strip hard wood floors or etch stone tile when it is used in its concentrated form. So save the concentrate for areas you can rinse with running water like the sink, the tub or your car exterior.
If you have not used Good Vibes All Purpose Cleaner yet, what on earth are you waiting for? Go ahead, click this link and get you some Good Vibes today.
What is your most preferred way to mop your floors? Let's talk about it in the comments.

Great read! I agree that cleaning floors are tough and even gets dirtier if it’s not cleaned regularly. Considering my lack of time in maintaining my house, I’m thinking of opting for commercial floor cleaning from this cleaning service provider here https://www.cleancareservices.com/our-services/commercial-floor-care/. How often must I have my floors cleaned to ensure a safe home?

Hi there! My in-laws already told me recently that they wish to pay me a visit this weekend, so I have to make sure the entire house is spotless. I like it when you suggested that flat mops are the best choice if we only intend to clean our floor just for a brief moment. Okay then, this is something I’ll try to remember so I’d carry out the right actions afterwards. https://maint1.com/sales

Hello! If I may, I’d love to show my cousin this article so she can use the right equipment sooner or later. Her living room floor got a bit messy after she threw a party last night. By the way, kudos for making us realize how beneficial brushes are in helping us scrub tiles and grouts too. https://qcpowerclean.com/Power-Scrubber
